During spring & autumn (May & October) a 4x4 jeep is not mandatory but highly recommended since it can easily snow on the mountain passes.
During winter (November-April) a 4x4 jeep is mandatory. In this season we only selectively offer this itinerary to customers whom we deem to have the required experience and understanding of potentially very difficult winter driving conditions. Your jeep will come with studded winter tires.
