The following are our most popular private sightseeing day tours from Isafjordur - please note the seasonal restrictions:

Dynjandi Waterfall (6 hours, late April to late October)

We start the tour by driving straight to Dynjandi, the majestic icon of the Westfjords. There we stop for up to an hour to enjoy the wonderful views of the waterfall and Arnarfjordur fjord, and listen to the soothing sound of Dynjandi tumbling down the mountain in a series of seven waterfalls. The top tier is certainly the most impressive but each one of the other six is unique in its own right!

We highly recommend doing the easy hike up to the top tier for a magnificent upfront view.

On our way back then we will also stop at some of the following places, depending on the interests of the group:

- Hrafnseyri museum, the historical birthplace of Iceland's national hero Jon Sigurdsson

- The trail up to Sandafell mountain peak for great views over Dyrafjordur fjord

- The silent beaches of northern Dyrafjordur fjord and the unique Skrudur botanical garden

- The golden beach of Holt in Onundarfjordur fjord

Dynjandi Waterfall & Under The Cliffs (late June to late September)

We start the tour by driving straight to Dynjandi, the majestic icon of the Westfjords. There we stop for up to an hour to enjoy the wonderful views of the waterfall and Arnarfjordur fjord, and listen to the soothing sound of Dynjandi tumbling down the mountain in a series of seven waterfalls. The top tier is certainly the most impressive but each one of the other six is unique in its own right! We highly recommend doing the easy hike up to the top tier for a magnificent upfront view.

Afterwards we follow the rugged jeep trail around the Svalvogar peninsula. Characterised by sharp cliffs and intimidating mountains, inspiring fjord views and surf battered beaches, colourful rocks and ancient volcanic layers, silent creeks and haunted valleys, rich birdlife and diverse vegetation.

Latrabjarg Cliffs & Dynjandi Waterfall (12 hours, May to October)

Make the most of your time in the Westfjords and explore the western fjords in one extended day tour: Látrabjarg cliffs and Dynjandi waterfall, in addition to the golden beaches in the south and the stunning fjords along the way.The total driving time on the tour is about eight hours. We have enough time for about an hour's stop at both Latrabjarg and Dynjandi, plus a couple of extra hours for other shorter stops.

Under The Cliffs (7 hours, June to September)

This thrilling super jeep safari is one of Iceland's ultimate off the beaten path adventures! We follow the rugged jeep trail around the Svalvogar peninsula. Characterised by sharp cliffs and intimidating mountains, inspiring fjord views and surf battered beaches, colourful rocks and ancient volcanic layers, silent creeks and haunted valleys, rich birdlife and diverse vegetation; the Svalvogar trail offers an incredibly rich experience.

The trail is only 50 km but very slow going and we'll take 4-5 hours to make our way around it. As we bump along & under the cliffs and steep mountains, you'll have the option of walking a part of the trail in addition to frequent stops to enjoy the surroundings.

Seals, arctic foxes and whales have all been seen occasionally on this tour and free roaming sheep are usually there to cheer us up as well! Early in the summer one can see seasonal waterfalls and beautiful lupine fields, later in the summer the autumn colours start blossoming and delicious wild growing bilberries become ripe for picking.
